Each reading plan is broken down into daily readings to make consistent Bible study manageable and meaningful.

How Daily Readings Work

Structure

Each day's reading includes:

  1. Bible Passage - The specific verses to read
  2. Reflection Questions - Prompts to help you think deeper
  3. Completion Checkbox - Mark when you've finished
  4. Answer Section - Write your thoughts and reflections

Accessing Your Reading

To view today's reading:

  1. Go to My Plans from the home page
  2. Click on the active plan you want to read
  3. You'll see today's passage highlighted
  4. Click Read Now to begin

Reading Schedule

Daily vs. Your Own Pace

  • Scheduled Mode (Default): One reading unlocks per day at midnight
  • Self-Paced Mode: All readings available immediately

You can switch modes in your plan settings.

Staying on Track

If you miss a day:

  • Previous days remain available
  • You won't lose access to any content
  • Your progress is saved

Status indicators:

  • Completed - You've finished and answered questions
  • 📖 Current - Today's reading
  • 🔒 Upcoming - Future readings (in scheduled mode)
  • ⚠️ Behind - Missed readings you can still complete

Reading the Passage

In-App Bible Text

Most plans display the Bible text directly in the app. You can:

  • Read in multiple translations (KJV, NIV, ESV)
  • Highlight verses
  • Take notes

External Links

Some passages link to external Bible sites like:

  • Bible Gateway
  • YouVersion
  • ESV.org

Click the link to read in your preferred translation.

Answering Questions

Why Answer Questions?

Reflection questions help you:

  • Think critically about what you read
  • Apply Scripture to your life
  • Remember key insights
  • Share with your group

Writing Answers

Tips for thoughtful answers:

  • Be honest - Share your real thoughts and struggles
  • Be specific - Reference verses that stood out
  • Be personal - How does this apply to your life?
  • Be concise - A paragraph is plenty

Privacy

  • Solo plans: Only you see your answers
  • Group plans: All group members see your answers
  • You can edit or delete answers anytime

Marking Complete

When you finish:

  1. Read the passage
  2. Answer the reflection questions (optional but recommended)
  3. Click Mark as Complete

You'll see:

  • Progress bar update
  • Completion checkmark
  • Next day's reading (if scheduled)

Catching Up

Fell behind? No problem:

  1. View your plan
  2. Scroll to missed days
  3. Complete them in any order
  4. Your streak and progress update automatically

  • Morning: Start your day with Scripture
  • Lunch break: Mid-day reflection
  • Evening: End the day in God's Word

Enable Reminders

Get a daily email reminder:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Enable Daily Reading Reminders
