Inviting Members to Your Reading Plan

Reading the Bible together is more meaningful and helps keep you accountable. Here's how to invite others to join your plan.

Creating a Group

Before inviting members, you need to create a group:

  1. Go to Groups in the main navigation
  2. Click Create New Group
  3. Give your group a name (e.g., "Smith Family Bible Study")
  4. Add an optional description
  5. Click Create Group

Inviting Members

Once you have a group, you can invite members:

Option 1: Share the Group Link

  1. Open your group page
  2. Click the Invite Members button
  3. Copy the shareable link
  4. Share via email, text, or social media

Anyone with the link can join your group!

Option 2: Direct Email Invitation

If members already have accounts:

  1. Go to your group settings
  2. Enter their email address
  3. Click Send Invitation
  4. They'll receive an email with a link to join

Assigning a Plan to Your Group

After creating a group:

  1. Navigate to your reading plan
  2. Click Share with Group
  3. Select your group from the dropdown
  4. Click Assign to Group

All group members will now see the plan and can participate together!

Group Reading Features

When reading as a group, members can:

  • See each other's progress - Stay motivated together
  • Share answers - Read and discuss each other's reflections
  • Reply to answers - Have conversations about the passages
  • View completion badges - Celebrate milestones together

Managing Your Group

As the group creator, you can:

  • View all members
  • Remove members if needed
  • Archive the group when finished
  • Create multiple groups for different purposes

Privacy Settings

By default, all group members can see: - Who completed each day's reading - Each other's answers to questions - Reply discussions

This encourages accountability and community!

Tips for Group Reading

  • Choose a consistent time to read each day
  • Discuss answers regularly - weekly meetups or online chats
  • Encourage participation - comment on each other's insights
  • Be consistent - groups work best when everyone stays engaged

Troubleshooting

Q: Members can't see the plan
A: Make sure you assigned the plan to the group, not just shared the group link.

Q: Can I have multiple groups?
A: Yes! Create as many groups as you need for different study partners.

Q: Can someone be in multiple groups?
A: Absolutely. Members can join and participate in multiple groups simultaneously.
